Student Essay Contest:

Student Essay Contest: “Making the 2nd Green Revolution Happen in India”

Show your writing skills by taking part in essay scholarship! The NGP Rao Foundation in collaboration with …………. is encouraging students to become a part of the Annual Academic Scholarship. The award is open for the academic year 2020-2021.

The award program is open to assist Indian Agriculture University students, pursuing any agriculture or related degree program (UG, PG or Doctoral)

The grant will provide financial support to “THE TOP 3” students who submit the strongest essays focusing on the given topic (upto Rs 10,000/- (Ten thousand only) for the Top 3 best judged essays and a certificate on same .


How to Submit? To be considered for the opportunity, please note the following:

  • Deadline: 1 Aug 2020 (Only Applications received before or by 1 August, 2020 will considered)
  • Length Of the essay: The submitted essay should be in English Language only in 2000 words or less (single spacing).
  • File type: MS Word doc or pdf files only (with no password protection on files) . Essays submitted as Google Doc files, personal blog posts, etc. will not be considered.
  • Font type and Size: – “Times New Roman” / Size 12 (14 for headings/ 12 for normal text/ and 10 for sub text)
  • How to Submit: To be considered for the opportunity , all applications must be submitted from this website, by uploading your essay (in doc or pdf formats only – and having a file size of maximum 2 MB), in the section below –  by the given deadline (1 Aug 2020). Applications submitted via any other channel will not be considered.
  • Requirements: The first 5 lines of the essay should include (i) Your Full name (ii) The name of your College/ University (iii) Name of your Degree and the Year you are currently studying (ex: B,Sc (Ag) – 4th year) (iv) Your email id – communication in future as needed will be to this email id only (v) Your signature (implying your intention to participate as the author of your essay and consent to download and review the same by judges (vi) Leave 2 blank lines (vii) Title of the Essay – in the 8th line and Essay to start from 10th line
  • Terms & Conditions:  (i) Candidates must be listed as the author of the essay. The top 3 winning essays will be published on the website and will be made “public”
  • (ii) The decisions of the judges will be final and no questions or challenges on the final decisions will be acknowledged or responded to any time. (iii) The student participation in the essay competition effectively implies the student will abide by all rules and the terms and conditions set forth here and as such is a willful participant in this philanthropic cause
